Whats good about South Central is that there isn’t that much problems like before. Also, a good thing is that it shows you that not everything comes to you on a silver platter. A thing that South Central should loose is the appearance. It isn’t well taken care of and that’s what makes it look bad. It shouldn’t be vandalized. This is where we live and it has to be taken care of. Overall, i like living in South Central.A lot of things have made South Central the way it is and that’s whats special because its been through a lot important event. The three most important events that have had the greatest impact on making South Cenral, LA what it is today are the LA Riots, Crack Epidemic, and Immigration.
The first important event was the LA Riots started because of the what happened to Rodney King and Latasha Harlin. Police brutality was used against Rodney King and prejudgment and assassination was used towards Latasha Harlins because of the color of her skin. The polices that beat Rodney King were found “not guilty.” The woman that killed Latasha Harlins only got a $500 fine. Because of the verdict of these events the citizens of LA were infuriated and rioted.I chose this event as an important event because people fought for what they thought and believed was wrong. They didn’t stay without taking action.
The second most important event was the Crack Epidemic. It started off by one person,Ricky Ross. Acually the CIA was also in this they helped sell this illegal drug to buy weapons for the war against Nicaragua. This affected people lives dramatically. Families were destroyed, peoples health weren’t good, incarceration rates increased etc. At the end of this Ricky Ross was put in jail because he was selling this drug. The CIA didnt have any consequences because they were the CIA. They could do what they do and just deny it that easy without getting punished. This event is important because a lot of families were affected not just families but oneself as well. It made South Central a really bad place at that point.
The final event i think is important is immigration. Not everybody stops to think about why and how people come to the US.There are many struggles people face in their home country.People sometimes come because its dangerous where they live because a war is going on. They want a place where they know that its not going to be that risk taking. They risk it to come to the US to have a better life. Sometimes people just come to be successful in life because where they live they don’t have opportunities. Its unfair that people make that sacrifice to come here and them the government doesnt want them here but actually the people who are immigrants actually value more things and they work harder then the citizens.People should just stop to think and understand that people just want opportunities and that opportunity is given to them here. This topics important because there are lots of people who migrate to the US for plenty of reasons but all those reasons are valuable. Immigrants is a part of South Central and other places.
So, the three most important events i think are the LA Riots,Crack Epidemic, and Immigration. The LA Riots was important because of how people fought for waht they thought was wrong, police brutality. Crack Epidemic was important because of the way it affected all those people in South Central with their health, families, incarceration rates etc.Immigration is important because many people migrate to the US for a better life or for simply safety.I honestly dont know how its going to change in the future because anything can happen.Life is full of surprises.

Elaine Brown was born in Philadelphia on March 2,1943. She was part on the Black Panthers to protect communities from police brutality and racism. She was the first and only woman in history to lead a black resistance movement she was also first as Defendat Minister and later as Chairman. She was a good leader because she fought for her rights and other peoples rights as well.
“Riots Comparison”
Yola and Blurb were cool websites. They werent that great though yes they were easy to use but i pictured more things. The projects were easy to make and kinda fun to do.I really dont know what can make them better but yes they can use some work put into them.
Walking Through South Central
On th book i got far enough.I got only a picture down and two pages.Th blurbbook program was ok. It wasnt the best program but it was pretty cool.It was easy to use.It wasnt confusing you could see everything and figure it out just by looking at the page. Its simple and i really dont need help using i.If i stay on task and do what i got to do then i will finish the book.If i dont then i wont finish anything. I didnt have a lot of things accomplished yet.

lore- Fabian made me put this…i wasn’t but yeah i no its not a sport
1:The Broken Window Theory is that if the community is not taken care of people are going to commit more crimes.
2:There was many places that were uncared for.The businesses, sidewalks, signs etc. Not everything looked ugly. There were some places that actually did look nice like the apartments. Its sad how people don’t take care of the place they live in. How difficult can it be to take care of your community.
3:Some observation i made was that houses, streets, businesses etc. are not taken care of. It doesn’t even look like they try to put in some effort to make it better. This tells me that the community isn’t run well by the people that live here. The people of this community have to put in their part to make this community better. Its not going to be done by itself or by people tagging, littering, committing crimes etc.
